Seinfeld walks away from rollover accident

Hi, I'm Kristin Volk in for Rebecca Field on this Thursday, April 3, 2008 with a UPI Entertainment Headline. Comedian Jerry Seinfeld is not injured after a rollover car accident in New York last night. Seinfeld's brakes apparently failed on his vintage vehicle, causing him to swerve to avoid driving into an intersection. That's when the car flipped and landed just yards from a highway. Seinfeld was reportedly not drinking and didn't require any medical attention. The Rolling Stones hit the red carpet in London last night for a premiere of a movie about themselves. "Shine a Light" is a new documentary film that's based on the band's 46-year-old history. Martin Scorsese directed the movie, saying he did so because the Stones provided the soundtrack to his life. Liam Gallagher from Oasis and his wife Nicole Appleton were among several celebrities to attend the screening. Singer Corrine Baily Rae attended her husband's funeral yesterday in Leeds, England. Jason Rae died last month of a suspected overdose. He was 31. His widow, Corrine, was reportedly the last to leave the group of mourners gathered at a local church for the service. Afterwards, mourners went to a local pub where the couple held their wedding reception seven years ago. "Borat" has escaped defamation charges. A New York judge dismissed a lawsuit yesterday brought by a man shown in a clip of the 2006 film.
